• 1964 Born at GWU in Washington, D.C.
• 1973 Moved from Bethesda, MD to Palo Alto, CA
• 1982 Graduated late Palo Alto High School
• 1983 Lived in 1963 Rambler American 440T for two months
• 1984 Moved to San Francisco. Traded Rambler for Lambretta, photo of which is here..
• 1986 Won Cappuccino Contest at San Francisco Fair. Traded Lambretta for Moto Morini, retained Heinkel scooter.
• 1987-1989 Attended City College of San Francisco.
• 1989 Took trip to Europe. Ended up working and living at Rifugio Bellavista in Veneto for nine months as the guest of Mr. Pompone, the Italian Italian bikes guru.
• 1990 Moved to Healdsburg, CA. Attended Santa Rosa Junior College and adopted Mookie the Wonder Dog. Worked at Raven Theater and Jimtown Store
• 1991 Met the love of my life, Jill McElmurry
• 1992 Moved to Dunsmuir, CA to buy Wagoner Building
• Elected to Dunsmuir City Council
• 1993 Finally purchased a Maicoletta much like this one, the scooter of my dreams
• Opened Nutglade Station, hotel and coffee shop
• 1995 Mayor of Dunsmuir
• 1996 Finally went on-line. Became rabid booster of the 'net
• 1998 Attended Burning Man 98. Sold the Nutglade, moved back East to complete undergraduate degree.
• Admitted to University of Maryland, College Park
• Bought house in Takoma Park, Maryland
• 2001 B.A. summa cum laude University of Maryland History / Government & Politics double-major.
• Admitted to the University of Minnesota's Ph.D. program in Political Science.
• Bought house in Saint Paul.
• 2003 Instructional Technology Fellow.
• 2003 Started blog.
